Some NPS-sponsored travel for on-site research is likely. The Historian will record the necessary information about each land parcel in a spreadsheet for NPS use. The second goal is to develop a presentation the NPS will give to the Massachusetts State Historic Preservation Office review board. This requires researching the requirements for the presentation and developing the PowerPoint slides and talking points for the presenter. The researcher might also assist with managing the overall project timeline and writing official correspondence. The project requires self-directed research and a highly organized participant interested in coordinating a project with NPS staff, NPS partners, and communities.
